November 1st 2012, RANDY'S FIRST ARCHERY BUCK WITH THE BOWTECH!!!

In the fading minutes of the 2012 mule deer archery season, here in Saskatchewan, Randy Norrie and I sat motionless in a blind watching a 150 whitetail making a scrape... A great deer with bow and arrow, but ultimately we were holding out, hoping to see a big mulie before darkness fell on halloween night, that would force Randy to throw his mulie tags in the candy bowl.

t, this black antlered buck walked straight at us, from 150 yards away!!! At 22 yards I bleated, he stopped... And, Randy made a perfect shot with his BOWTECH!!! That blind lit up with emotions, with this being Randy's very first buck with a bow and arrow!!! This story will be easy for the passionate bowhunters out there to relate to, knowing how hard the sport really is.

Archery mule deer hunting is my fave by a mile, and now its all over for another year. Already looking forward to September 1st, 2013.
